Biography
Arthur was born in 1939 in Liverpool. He was encouraged to paint by his father, who was a gifted amateur artist. His family were originally from North Wales from a small town called Menai Bridge in Anglesey.
Artist Statement
Arthur has always painted coast scenes and seascapes, especially those associated with North Wales. Since Arthur retired, he has spent winters in his home in Southern Spain, where he took his inspiration from the coast. All of his work is in oils. He now spends most of his time painting in his studio at home in Herefordshire.
