Artist Profile - Veronique Yapp
Biography
Veronique is a French artist originally from Provence, who now lives in Herefordshire. She has drawn and painted for many years as an art designer in advertising and printing, and is now a full time artist doing a little illustration work but mainly painting in oils. Her work explores the landscape, playing with deep colours and textures that echo the sounds and fragrances of the South of France.
Artist Statement
‘Looking at and exploring the Herefordshire landscape through a Provençale paint-brush: the West flank of the Malvern Hills, the sinuous Wye river, contemplated from some of her bridges… and lately, catching glimpses of little village churches, all different, all adorned by beautiful trees… the journey goes on!’
