Most of my paintings are made with oil paint on canvas.  Having painted and drawn all of my life, mainly in watercolour, I have now found that oil painting allows me to be more expressive.  I paint the felt emotion and certain aspects of the human predicament often relating to my own close and distant environment, therefore: impressions of personal dramas.

Through colour, composition, pattern and layers I explore fragmented memories, revealing them in a picture fairy tale.

Not necessarily a true representation of an event but more a recollection of thoughts after an event or era.  Without words the images are open to individual interpretation, allowing readings on many levels and enticing the imagination to work for the viewer.
