Biography

Born in Derbyshire, Alice has always had a passion for drawing and painting wildlife and farm animals. After a degree at Harper Adams Agricultural College, during which time she continued to paint animal portraits, she moved to Herefordshire.   She has a personal understanding of the relationship between animals and humans and this is clear in her work where she focuses on painting and drawing farm animals, horses and dogs.   Alice uses pen and ink and soft pastel as well as acrylic on canvas for her larger work. Her striking brightly coloured canvases display a lively approach and technique. Bold animated images, dramatically conceived give her work a sense of energy and excitement.
