Biography
Chloe has recently returned to live in Hereford after graduating with a first class degree in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art. She has had a couple of Exhibitions in the Small Gallery in Hereford at the begining of her degree course and has exhibited in London and Paris on several occasions in the two years.
Artist Statement
I specialise in mixed media using a wide range of materials and processes, to explore the possibilities of textiles. By Marrying innovation with design I create one-off Art pieces and surface finishes for Interior and Fashion.
My current work explores surface relief with combinations of resin with machine and hand embroideries, printing and imprinting techniques.
I find details of my surrounding environment an endless source of inspiration, looking to different levels of perspective, colour and changing pattern formations, or the romantic soft hues captured within a place imprinted on the memory. I develop drawings and paintings from these themes which then inspire my fabrics designs.
As a designer I have a great passion for the new and the undiscovered and thrive on discovering techniques for fabric development and design. I always strive for innovation alongside a beautiful aesthetic which will in turn inspire and enlighten my audience.
