Biography

Rebecca lives and works on the isles of Scilly. In her work she integrates a mixture of sterling silver, fine silver, 14 carat gold-fill, and precious/semi precious gemstones with more local treasures such as Scillonian shells, pebbles and sea glass. Her handcrafted designs echo the natural shapes and forms of the unique location by which they are inspired. All her work is fully hallmarked


Artist Statement

    Wire jewellery is an ancient art dating back to the ancient Egyptians; the Victorians embodied it and now I hope to encapsulate the unique environment of Scilly through this very versatile art form. Wire jewellery is a particularly free art form and each of my pieces has a unique look and feel of individuality.
