Artist Statement

Biography

Andrea was born in Scotland. She started her art training in Portsmouth before achieving a diploma at Dartington Art College in "Art and Design in a Social Context"


Artist Statement

Andrea prefers to work in charcoal and pastels and her subject matter is based around animals or figures. She lives in Somerset with her husband the stone carver Tom and their two children. The surrounding farm animals feature frequently in her pictures and are a constant source of inspiration. She has travelled extensively in the past and has produced many pictures inspired by the people of Africa and India; including designing cards for Prime Arts of bath. She has exhibited widely in the Southwest including exhibitions at the Ginger Gallery in Bristol and the Sadler Street Gallery in Wells.
