Artist Statement

My paintings are studies of nature. Inspired by its ordered chaos and omnipresent self-symmetry. I work with satellite photography, geological structures, biological forms and microscopic imagery to create the paintings. I always try to let the nature of the paint guide me as I work and try not to touch the canvas too often. This exploits the infinite intricacies of the paint, which are impossible to reproduce by hand. Thus making the paintings as absorbing from 10cm as from 10m.
